"Follow the development of our test mule Project VF"

SQP has just taken delivery of a brand new VF SSV. The goal of Project VF is to fully document for our existing and potential customers what each level of upgrade produces on our dyno backed up with track performance. In this day where those who offer the highest dyno read out for the $$ wins the work regardless of the legitimacy of the claim, we felt it was again time to show our prospective customer EXACTLY what they can expect for their money other than a laminated dyno sheet. We intend documenting all changes in power and weight to keep the drag strip performance legitimate.

From the factory we selected a six speed auto (A6) car with consistency being the key on the choice of transmission.  The L77 engine is standard fitment on these models. Initial driving of it for the first 200km left us impressed with it's nimbleness and direct handling. The engine was responsive and at a far higher level of calibration than the early VE and the trans calibration is direct if not a little weak on shift quality. The only mods at this point are lowering it 40mm on each corner as it looked like crap at standard height! We hope you will drop in from time to time to follow the progress of Project VF.
